Products covered: Glass products (ICS 81.040.30) This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 102/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 1869 "Glass Tableware" (19 pages, in Arabic). It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian Standard ES 1869 was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/203 dated 9 January 2019. Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with IS 1961/ 1968 (Reaffirmed 2001). Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette. Proposed date of adoption: 7 February 2019. Proposed date of entry into force: 7 March 2019.
