It should be noted that the Ministerial Decrees No. 477/2018 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/194 dated 4 September 2018 mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard. Worth mentioning is that this draft standard complies with: - JIS S 5050: Leather shoes.- United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) "Acceptable Quality Standards in the Leather and footwear industry" Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
