The notified Decree, issued pursuant to Law No. 63-301 of 26 June 1963 on the prevention of fraud in the sale of goods, and of falsifications of foodstuffs and agricultural products, concerns preserved and semi-preserved food intended for human consumption, held with a view to sale, marketed or sold in Côte d'Ivoire, regardless of its origin. However, the notified text does not apply to tinned milk, concentrated milk and powdered milk, which are already subject to a specific regulation: Decree No. 83-808 of 3 August 1983 implementing Law No. 63-301 of 26 June 1963 on the prevention of fraud in the manufacture and marketing of dairy products. This text repeals Decree No. 85-174 of 6 March 1985 regulating the marking of preserved and semi-preserved food.
