1.1 This standard covers the requirements for the performance of safety glazing materials in buildings with regard to injuries (cutting or piercing) sustained on human impact.
1.2 This standard covers the requirements for the performance of organic-coated safety glass in buildings only when the entire area of the glass pane is covered.
NOTE Provisions on the use of safety glazing materials are contained in BOS 611, SANS 10400 Part N and SANS 17.
