This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 610 /2020 (4 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 2799-2 for "Plywood used in concrete shuttering works - Part 2: Test methods" (15 page(s), in Arabic)

It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian Standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/251 dated 5 March 2020.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with IS 4990/2011.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 4 December 2020.

Proposed date of entry into force: 15 January 2021.
