This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 610 /2020 (4 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7195-1 "Furniture - bunk beds and high beds part 1: safety, Strength and durability requirements" (16 page(s), in Arabic)

It should be noted that the draft of this Egyptian Standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/235 dated 12 November 2019.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with EN 747-1:2012+A1:2015.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 4 December 2020.

Proposed date of entry into force: 15 January 2021.
