This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 610 /2020 (4 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7595 for "Child care articles - Drinking equipment - Safety requirements and test methods" (87 pages, in English).

ES 7595 cancels and supersedes ES 7595-1 and ES 7595-2.

It should be noted that the Egyptian Standards ES 7595-1 and ES 7595-2 that were mandated by the Ministerial Decree No. 374/2013 (2 pages, in Arabic) were formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/40 dated 1 October 2013 and G/TBT/N/EGY/41 dated 2 October 2013 Alternatively.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of EN 14350:2020.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 4 December 2020.

Proposed date of entry into force: 15 January 2021.
