This draft Standard gives permissible limits of some common pollutants found in polluted air, namely sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), dust in terms of suspended particulate matter as TSP, PM10 and PM2.5, oxides of nitrogen (NO, NO2 and NOX), hydrocarbons (HCs), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Ozone (O3) and particulate lead (Pb). The standard covers both the ambient air and emission sources.
