This addendum concerns the notification of the draft of the Egyptian Standards ES 3863 "diapers for children and adult" (20 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 102/2019 (2 pages, in Arabic) mandating among others the earlier version of this Standards and was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/204/Add.1 dated 15 May 2019.

This draft of Egyptian standard specifies the requirements that shall be met in diapers for children and the adult.

This draft standard does not apply to diapers for premature babies (provided that they are indicated as diapers for premature babies) and Baby pool diapers are excluded from absorption and retention capacity tests.

Worth mentioning is that this draft standard complies with:

ISO 17516/2014 (confirmed 2020).
GSO 1833/2007
SASO 2865:2015 Adult diapers for single-use.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
