This draft of Egyptian standard specifies the requirements of wet wipes used for the purposes of recovery, disinfection, cleaning hands and body, or removing make-up, and they may be perfumed.

This standard also applies to wet wipes intended for use by children.

This standard does not apply to wet wipes for a therapeutic purpose such as treating acne or other skin diseases, provided that the purpose of use is clarified on the product package.

Worth mentioning is that this draft standard complies with:

ISO 17516/2014 (confirmed 2020),
Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on Cosmetic Products,
