This addendum concerns the notification of the draft Egyptian Standard ES 4178 “Poultry meat-mechanically separated" (11 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 515/2005 (10 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/2 dated 14 December 2005 mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard.

Worth mentioning is that this draft standard complies with:

- regulation (EC) no 853/2004 of the European parliament and of the council "hygiene rules for food of animal origin".

- commission regulation (EC) no 2073/2020 "microbiological criteria for foodstuffs"

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
