This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.223/2021 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3241-1" Injection equipment for medical use part1: Ampoules for Injectables"(10 page(s), in Arabic).

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/252 dated5 March 2020.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with ISO 9187-1/2010 (confirmed in 2015).

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 20 May 2021.

Proposed date of entry into force: 14 June 2021.
