The Ministerial Decree No. 221/2021 (2 pages, in Arabic) gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 5884-1.

This standard specifies the requirements that must be met by individual oils intended for direct use in cosmetic, whether they are vegetable, animal or mineral oils, as well as butters that do not contain any additives of a medicinal effect, and test methods.

This standard does not apply to essential oils or mixture of oils.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with British pharmacopoeia 2007.
