This addendum concerns the notification of Ministerial Decree No. 524/2021(2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3123-3 "Safety of toys - Part 3: Migration of certain elements" (65 pages, in English).

It should be noted that Ministerial Decree No. 609 /2020 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/16/Add.4 dated 30 March 2021, Ministerial Decree No. 171/2020 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/16/Add.3 dated 3 June 2020 mandated among others the earlier versions of this Egyptian standard.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of EN 71-3:2019.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of entry into force: 25 November 2021
