This addendum concerns the notification of Ministerial Decree No. 524/2021 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 3862 "Ladies Sanitary Napkins" (15 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/69/Add.1dated 7 June 2021.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with:

ISO 17516/2014 (confirmed 2020).
Methods of test in European laboratory "pharmaceutical biotechnology".
Results of samples of the local and imported products or national studies

Proposed date of adoption: 24 August 2021

Proposed date of entry into force: 25 November 2021
